Project 1 is a group project with an individual component. In group of 8 students, the task is to romanticize a rainforest and translate it into an intriguing narrative that will then be transformed it into two individual standalone Poetic Journey Structure. We are required to come up with one narrative which will transform one as a concentric journey structure and one a a linear journey structure, hence the 2 Poetic Journey Structure. As part of the learning and design process, we are required to do some research on the main subject matter which is "the rainforest", conduct two poetic architecture precedence studies, do a site visit and analysis of a poetic building, identify the different types of poetic spaces, recognize the "modifying elements", understand the characteristic of a concentric and linear layout and understand what makes a good poetic spatial architecture. For submission and presentation, we are required to present all the information and proposal as one cohesive presentation.
