Building Construction & Materials (BLD 61604)
Individually, we need to choose an architect from the given list. From the chosen architect, the student needs to identify five (5) architectural building materials and two (2) structural building materials based on the case study. Students are also to study on the ideas and concept behind the selection of the material and of the building. Additionally, students are also to describe the installation one (1) of the materials applied on the selected building. Building’s selection can be from any time or age. The compilation of the findings needs to be nicely composed in two (2) A3 papers
This group assignment will emphasize on producing a construction drawing set that consist of detailing of building elements on superstructure which include floor, wall, door, window, staircase, and roof.
In a group of six students need to produce a construction drawing of their studio work. Only choose one (1) project from studio’s second project. They are allowed to choose on the construction materials to be used.
